L’intelligence artificielle est en pleine effervescence et tout le monde essaie de tester leur limite. Dans un projet nommé “If countries were people”, un utilisateur TikTok connu sous le pseudo @jjonnyynnojj a laissé libre cours à son imagination.
En effet, grâce à l’IA Midjourney, ce passionné du numérique a décrit plusieurs traits physiques pour permettre à cette dernière de générer des images reflétant des humains pour chaque pays.
Les portraits générés par l’intelligence artificielle Midjourney sont tellement réalistes que cela a suscité plusieurs réactions. Vous pouvez constater que le Vietnam est représenté par une jeune femme portant une tenue américaine avec des traces de sang sur le visage.
Le comble est le portrait du Madagascar représenté par un lémurien. Tous ces stéréotypes ont enflammé la toile, poussant le jeune à supprimer toutes les images générées par l’IA de son compte TikTok.
Juste avant que les portraits ne soient effacés, les plus habiles ont pu enregistrer.

I’m very curious to know how did Portuguese people ended up mixed race and mixed flagged!? It’s as if you mixed the mexican flag with the spanish flag! Also my ancestors definitely do not look like that! This is very very disrespectful!
A large portion of the portuguese population is composed of Brazilians and imigrants from Africa, hence the mixture.
Also, do you really get offended just because an AI, based on an extensive database, portrayed Portugal not as an “ideal” nordic european-like figure?

It’s not that large, though. The vast majority is still caucasian. I wouldn’t expect the avatar to be blue eyed and pale skinned, but a more accurate representation of the general Portuguese person would be Mediterranean (olive skin, brown eyes, etc). Very similar to Spanish.
For Portugal there is an error. the image a Brazilian and not a Portuguese. as proof the Brazilian flag.

Algerian people dosent looks like the indicated picture, in addition, algerian are part of north africa and proportion of white skin is in general superior to tunisia and morocco, i think that the picture are not representing the countries but instead the stereotype in mind of people who fed the AI with data.
